Echoes of Eden
June 28 to August 31, 2025
Opening Reception, Saturday, June 28, 6 – 8 PM

Galerie Lucida is pleased to present Echoes of Eden, an immersive experience of art and events that explores our relationship with the natural world. The exhibition will run throughout the summer, from June 28 to August 31, with a reception for the artists on Saturday, June 28 from 6 PM to 8 PM. A portion of gallery proceeds from the sale of artworks will be donated to local environmental organizations.
The Garden of Eden has long symbolized a utopian ideal – an earthly paradise of harmony, abundance, and innocence. It serves as an enduring allegory for the beauty of creation and the fragile balance between humanity and nature.
Echoes of Eden invites viewers to reflect on how far we’ve drifted from that mythic ideal. Through a compelling collection of works by contemporary artists, the exhibition explores the growing dissonance between ecological reverence and environmental reality. As we contend with the depletion of natural resources and the accelerating consequences of climate change, the exhibition asks: What have we lost in the name of progress?
Are we complicit in trading our planetary inheritance for convenience and consumption? Have we normalized environmental degradation under the guise of advancement? And, perhaps most critically, can art rekindle our role as stewards of the Earth rather than passive witnesses to its decline?
Echoes of Eden does not claim to offer all the answers, but invites vital questions. At its heart lies a shared hope: that clean air, fresh water, and a thriving future are not privileges for the few, but promises we can still keep – for everyone, and for generations to come.
The group exhibition features artists whose imagery and ideas reflect their deep respect and concern for environmental issues. Echoes of Eden includes work by Lisa Bagwell, Kristian Battell, Nanette Reynolds Beachner, Justin DeMattico, Franki DeSaro, Jada Fabrizio, Michael Flomen, Jeanne Friscia, Wynn Gay, Sandra Giunta, Allison Green, Cheryl Gross, Eleanor James, Chuck Kelton, Donna Rae Kessinger, Susan M.
