Will This Last Forever?
February 13 to March 15, 2025
Opening Reception, Thursday, February 13, 6 PM – 8 PM

Galerie Lucida invites you to join us at the Opening Reception of Will This Last Forever?, a group exhibition of artworks characterized by allusions to the complexities, attributes, and varied interpretations of love at a time when divisiveness and vitriol permeate the ether.
The exhibition will run from February 13 through March 15, with a reception for the artists on Thursday, Feb. 13, the evening before Valentine’s Day, from 6 PM to 8 PM. As always, our events are free and open to the public.
Inspired by illustrations of the human heart, curator Eleanor James, with assistance from Galerie Director, Michael Mazzeo, drew upon a spirited network of emerging and established New Jersey artists (and a few from outside our beautiful state) to present a thoroughly engaging exhibition rich in vision, message, and emotion. Among the more than 50 artworks are an intricately decorated ceramic fertility rattle by Margery Cohen, an ornate slip-covered mirror adorned with evocative personal photographs by Robert Melee, a Renaissance-inspired altarpiece triptych by Seth Ruggles Hiler, and a hand-knitted and crocheted wall-hanging with the phrase Will This Last Forever? by Amy Wilson, from which the exhibition takes its title. In addition to these notable pieces, you’ll find an assemblage of captivating paintings, sculptures, photographs, etchings, and mixed media artworks throughout our three galleries.
